Out of all of the paper pieces for all of the events we have done, we have to say, this one will definitely go down in our top 5 favorites. There is so much to love here- copper metallic ink AND the guinea feather backing… soooooo pretty. This was designed for a bride marrying her love on their family farm property. She is also the owner of a stylish boutique, Morton James in Lexington, KY, so her taste was impeccable making it so fun to collaborate. Thank you to Melanie Mauer for all of the images.
Since the wedding was to be held on the couple’s property with a vintage barn as the ceremony backdrop and cocktail hour location, we did a watercolor hand illustration of the barn for the save the dates. The save the dates should give guests a feel for how the formal wedding will be, or a nod to the location or season, so that guests can be prepared.
Guests received a party pack after the wedding invitations, containing the rehearsal dinner invitations and the accommodations card. This party the night before would be a family style rustic BBQ on the farm, so wooden envelopes created a different feel for guests to receive in the mail.
These wedding welcome boxes were something to behold! We imprinted the barn design on the top of the box, which was stuffed with custom packaged goodies, and items focused on on the Kentucky location.
The seating cards were kept simple but still stunning by hand lettering in copper metallic ink…
Of course details included trays with our custom printed paper liners featuring a tailored and modern monogram. Servers wore aprons featuring the barn emblem embroidered in copper thread, for a unexpected detail.
So much prettiness went into the tabletop details… We had copper sheeting cut and finished off to be the hand painted table numbers. The menus featured metallic copper ink printed on the thickest of card stock. Then, to finish them off, leather tags were embossed with guests name and tied off with a little hint of the feathers from the invitation backing…
We hope you enjoyed this dreamy fall wedding as much as we did designing it.
